I can’t believe it is July already. I couldn’t wait for summer and here it is already flying by. I was looking forward to sun & 80 degrees, but we’ve had rain, rain & more rain.
SPRING is finally here!! Well, that is what the calendar says. But, of course, this is the Poconos…today it is in the 30’s and we have some snow flurries going on. I’m ready for the sun, warm temperatures and the flowers. I am not much of a winter person. I love a fresh snow, but I hate the bitter cold temperatures and ice. And believe me we had plenty of frigid air and ice this past winter. But, they say 50’s by the weekend.
We’ve welcomed in another new year. I can’t believe it – 2008 really went by fast. This year I have not made any resolutions, considering I never once followed through on last year’s resolution to workout and stay fit. I should have known better.
Wow, I can’t believe 3 months have passed since I’ve last written on the blog. Or that the 4th of July has already come & gone.
Happy Spring! It’s time to start working outside, cleaning up the yard and planting the garden. Hopefully it will warm up a little before I have to get outside and do that.
Well the new year is upon us and it is time to fulfill all of those new year’s resolutions you made. We all have good intentions when we make them, but does anyone actually follow through? I know I usually don’t, so typically I don’t make any resolutions. But this year, I’ve made one and I’m really going to try to follow through.
Autumn has begun and we have had summerlike weather. Fall is my favorite time of year. I love when the leaves change colors to the different shades of reds, oranges and yellows. I even enjoy all of the raking once the leaves begin falling off the trees. The peak for the fall foliage in the Pocono Mountains is October 20, 2007.
Although Mountain Laurel Resort & Spa is a timeshare facility we still have social guests, conferences, weddings & banquets. As a matter of fact, today we are working on the preparations for a wedding this weekend. The ceremony will be held on our terrace with the reception to follow in our ballroom.
Welcome to the Mountain Laurel Resort & Spa’s new blog. I’d like to introduce myself…my name is Sherri and I am the Group Sales Manager. When my GM delegated the job of the blog on our website to me, I dared to ask “What is a blog?” I knew, but did he? He’s of the old school…paperwork – no need for computers. He says he doesn’t know anything about computers, not even how to turn one on, but I think he knows more than he is telling. This way he can delegate it to me.
